How precious is your steadfast love, oh God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7 Most of the nearly 130 million orphans in this world live in squalid conditions and have little hope for the future. The Boaz Project works to help the orphans of Russia and India find the refuge the God offers by partnering with Christians around the world to provide for their basic needs, such as clothing and education Our programs help children of all ages, from holding and bathing newborns to teaching older orphans the skills necessary for employment. Through these means, the love of Christ is shown to children who would otherwise experience little to no love at all. Our programs include: -Support Brigade -Bible Discovery Classes -Celebrate You! -Baby Nurturing -Short Term Trips -Tutoring and Job Training Support Brigade This program systematically passes along donations from individuals, churches, and other concerned organizations to targeted orphanages in need. Humanitarian aid is delivered on a monthly basis and are determined by the children's most pressing needs. Bible Discovery Classes These weekly classes are designed to expose orphans to God's word and offer them hope. Presented in a fun and loving manner, these lessons from the Bible are sure to work their way into a child's heart. Celebrate You! To affirm the value of each child, orphans are given birthday and Christmas presents. These small gifts are one way of saying , "you are special." Baby Nurturing To counteract the numbing effects of neglect among abandoned children, staff of The Boaz Project visit the baby orphanages three times a week to hold, bathe, and play with the infants living there. Short Term Trips American friends of The Boaz Project visit orphans, as instructed in James 1:27, conducting vacation Bible schools for orphans ages 3-17 or undertaking construction projects. Another goal of these trips is to encourage and spur on the local Christians who carry out the daily ministry of The Boaz Project. Tutoring and Job Tutoring Assistance from qualified tutors enables children to succeed academically and complete higher levels of education. Life skills classes train teen orphans in survival skills such as cooking, computer classes, English, and sewing. These skills become vital to the orphans upon transition to adulthood and provide alternatives to prostitution and other crimes.
